Aileen Fischer, 79


A memorial service was held on Monday, March 8, 2010, at 6 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Grafton for Aileen Fischer, who passed away peacefully at the Aurora West Allis Medical Center on March 3, 2010, at the age of 79.

A visitation was held prior to the memorial service on Monday, at the church, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Dr. Mary Foley conducted the memorial service. Interment will take place at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Port Washington at a later date.

Aileen was born on Nov. 20, 1930, in Eastman, the daughter of Aloysius Lechnir and Mildred (nee Granzow) Lechnir, who both preceded her in death. She later married Andrew Fischer on June 19, 1954, in Eastman. Their marriage was blessed with five children.

Aileen was the beloved wife of the late Andrew Fischer; the cherished mom of Lauri (Ken) Schultz, of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; the late Kathy Fischer, Gary (Toni) Fischer of Port Washington, Denise (Jason) Lamoreaux of Campbellsport, and Andrea (Brian) Ellestad of Lexington, Ky.; the proud grandma of Jeremy (Tonya), Jake (Mary), Eric, Ryan, Brandon, Brad, and Weston, the loving great-grandma of Noah, Bailey, Andrew, Riley, Ava, and Marley; and the dear sister of Robert (Margaret) Lechnir, Joan (the late Jerry) Maier, and Jean (Joe) Clatworthy. She is further survived by other relatives and friends.
