Raymond P. Wondra

Raymond P. Wondra, 88, of Mayville passed away on Sunday, March 7, 2010, at Hope Health & Rehab Center, Lomira.

Raymond was born the son of Killian and Cecelia (Gindt) Wondra on Feb. 2, 1922, in the township of Lomira. Raymond was married to Alice F. Flasch on Oct. 18, 1944, at St. Killian Catholic Church, St. Killian. Together with his family he farmed in the township of LeRoy.

Raymond was a lifelong member of St. Andrew Catholic Church, LeRoy. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and a former member of the Holy Name Society. He was also a former member of the LeRoy Town Board, was formerly on the Board of Directors for Dodge County A.S.C.S., and a former board member of the Dodge County Coop. Ray also enjoyed playing cards and listening and dancing to polka music.

Raymond is survived by is survived by his wife Alice of 65 years; his children, Mary Jane (Robert) Ratzburg of West Bend, Audrey (Robert) Wild of Mayville, Roger (Mary) Wondra of Lomira, Allen (Deborah) Wondra of Mayville and Steven (Nancy) Wondra of Mayville; brothers and sisters, Leo Wondra of Mayville, Al-bert (Pat) Wondra of Mayville, Florence (Wilbert) Gitter of Fond du Lac, Helen Thimm of Hartford, Genevieve (Norman) Matanaer of West Bend, and Cecelia (Joe) Belligan of West Bend; sisters-in-law-Angeline Wondra of May-ville, Mary Wondra of Lomira, Delphina Won-dra of Glenbeulah, and Eileen Flasch of Campbellsport; 21 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his infant son, Ronald; three brothers, Arnold, Edward and Paul; and in-laws Walter Thimm, Marcella Wondra, Roland Flasch and Bernice (Leo) Zenner.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, March 11, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Andrew Catholic Church, LeRoy with Rev. Father Tom Biersack presiding. Burial will take place at St. Andrew Cemetery, LeRoy.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 10, from 4 to 7:30 p.m. at Koepsell Funeral Home, Mayville, and also on Thursday from 9:30 to 10:15 a.m. also at Koepsell Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Andrew Restoration Fund or Parkinson Research.
