John W. Lieven, 83

John W. Lieven, formerly of Grafton, was born to eternal life March 1, 2010, at Mercy Hospital in Rogers, Ark.

He was born in Hartford on Sept. 19, 1926, the son of Werner and Kathryn (nee Dietzler) Lieven. He was the beloved husband of Elizabeth (nee Bertz); fond father of Pamela Atterberry, Philip (Eleni), John Robert and Marcia;  father–in-law of Judith (the late Gregory); brother-in-law of Crescentia Lieven; proud grandpa of Michelle (Scott) Pflieger, Shaun (Sue), Caroline Atterberry, Taylor John, Lauren and Kathryn; and great-grandpa of Ashley and Ethan Pflieger and Sophia Lieven. He is further survived by nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation will be Saturday, March 20, from 11 a.m. to noon at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1619 Washington St. Grafton. A Mass of Christian burial will be at noon, followed by a reception in the gathering area at  the church. Interment will be at Old St. Kilian’s Cemetery, Hartford, at 3:30 a.m.

John retired from Power Products, Grafton, and later as senior manufacturing engineer from Poulan-Weed Eater, Nashville, Ark. He was a veteran of World War II, a member of the American Legion and VFW and St. Bernard Parish, Bella Vista, Ark.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the St. Joseph memorial fund or Family Sharing of Ozaukee County would be appreciated.
