Ralph E. Nothem, 80
Ralph E. Nothem, 80, on Tuesday, March 9, 2010, accepted Jesus Christ as personal Savior, became born again as it states in John 3:3, and went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 14, 2010.
Ralph was born on June 18, 1929, in the town of Belgium to Mathias and Clara (nee Bode) Nothem. Ralph served our country in the U.S, Army during the Korean War. He was employed at Mercury Marine for 25 years and West Bend Equipment for 13 years, retiring in 1994. Ralph was also a Moose Lodge member since 1973.
Ralph is survived by his wife, Beulah (nee Goschey); children, Keith (Betty Christen-Nothem) Nothem, the Rev. David (Carol) Nothem, Mark (Nancy) Nothem, Sandra (David) Noegel and Jeff (Lara Funke-Nothem) Nothem; grandchildren, Tasha (Paul) Baures, Katie (Matt) Eiden, Jill (Brad) Worden, Stacy (Jeff) Jager, Carissa (James Klimczyk) Nothem, Benjamin Nothem, Lynn (Eric) Bloch, Scott Noegel, and Marissa, Andrew, Julia, and Hannah Nothem; and great-grandchildren Willem, Sofia and Gabrielle Baures and Alathia Worden. Ralph is further survived by his siblings, Bill (Dorothy) Nothem, Mary Jane (the late Jack) Powers, Arnold (Rosemary) Nothem and Harold (Arlene) Nothem.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Mathias and Clara; daughter, Donna; and sons, Taylor and Tyler.
A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 18, 2010, at Holy Angels Catholic Church, 1025 S. 7th Ave., West Bend with the Rev. Gerald Brittain officiating. Visitation will be at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel, 1420 W. Paradise Drive, West Bend, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, March 17, 2010, and again at the church from 10 a.m. until time of Mass. Entombment to follow at Washington County Memorial Park.
