Peter K. ‘WA9CPN’ Ullrich


Peter K. Ullrich "WA9CPN,’ 72, of West Bend, passed away Sunday, March 21, 2010, at The Kathy Hospice in the town of Polk.

He was born on Sept. 26, 1937, in Milwaukee to the late George and Lydia (nee Schroeder) Ullrich. Peter attended Cedarburg High School and graduated in the class of 1956. On June 24, 1967, Peter was united in marriage to Shirley Mae Anderson at First Immanuel Church in Cedarburg. Shirley preceded him in death on July 13, 2007.

Peter enjoyed ham radio for over 50 years. He was a member of the Ozaukee County Amateur Radio Club and the American Radio Relay League. Peter also enjoyed photography and flying model airplanes with the Skyranch Flyers.

He is survived by three sisters-in-law, Sharon (William) Brown of Brookfield, Alana (Jim) Beske of Buena Vista, Colo., and Judy (Milton) Schessow of Horicon; one brother-in-law, Wilson (Irene) Anderson of Florida; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services in remembrance of Peter will be held on Tuesday, March 23, at 7 p.m. at the Myrhum-Patten Funeral Home, 1315 W. Washington St., West Bend. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Tuesday from 5 p.m. until the time of the service. Burial will take place Wednesday, March 24, at 10:30 a.m. at Valhalla Memorial Park in Milwaukee.
