Mildred R. Schuh, 69

Mildred “Millie” R. Schuh (nee Weyker) of Cedarburg was born to eternal life on Wednesday, March 17, 2010, at the age of 69.

Millie was born on Feb. 10, 1941, in Port Washington to Peter and Clara Weyker (nee Strauss).

Millie graduated from Port Washington High School in 1959. On Sept. 15, 1962 she was united in marriage to Herman M. Schuh at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Port Washington. The couple’s first home was in Grafton where Millie worked as an office clerk for the former Sprague Electric.  Later she was employed at Schmidt’s Market in Grafton and eventually the couple moved to their current home Cedarburg. In 1972, Herman and Millie started their automotive and tire business, Herman’s Service, located in the heart of downtown Cedarburg.

Millie was known for greeting customers with warm and friendly conversation as they waited on car repairs.  In 1974, Millie was blessed with the birth of her  only child, Jennifer, who she raised with the utmost devotion.  Millie also volunteered with numerous charitable organizations throughout Ozaukee County.

Millie filled her life with family and friends. She loved cooking, travel, bowling, playing cards and dining and socializing with her friends, family and customers.  One of her greatest joys was when her daughter, Jennifer, married in 2006, where Millie and her daughter together planned the perfect wedding. She had a good life and found specialness in everyone around her.  During her long bout with cancer, she maintained a positive outlook, which alleviated the concerns of friends and family. She will be missed by everyone who knew her.

Millie is survived by her beloved husband, Herman Schuh of Cedarburg; her daughter, Jennifer A. Schuh-Mayer (Steven) of Cedarburg; and her siblings, Vince Weyker (Sylvia) of Port Washington, Mary Ellen Mueller (Ronnie) of Wyoming, and Angie Burton (Lambert) of Sheboygan.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Peter (Clara) Weyker; and her siblings, Stanley Weyker and Agnes Kultgen.  She is further survived by other relatives, close friends, Herman’s Service customers and special caregivers.
A Mass of Christian burial will be Saturday, March 27, 2010, at noon at St. Francis Borgia North Catholic Church 1375 Covered Bridge Road, Cedarburg. Family will receive friends at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the Mass.
