Barbara A. Klos, 73
Barbara A. Klos (nee Beck), 73, of West
Bend died on Thursday, March 25, 2010, at The Kathy Hospice.
She was born on April 22, 1936, in West Bend to Rudolph and Malinda (nee
Bauer) Beck. While growing up in West Bend, she attended local schools and
graduated from West Bend High School with the class of 1954.
On Aug. 20, 1955, she was united in marriage to Alexander Klos at Holy
Angels Catholic Church.
For 38 years, Barbara worked in the Trust Department of M&I Bank,
retiring in 1999. Through out her working life, she truly enjoyed her job
and her family of co-workers.
In addition to being a devoted wife and mother, she was an avid reader and
enjoyed swimming, biking, all types of music and the family cottage in
northern Wisconsin.
Survivors include her loving husband of 54 years, Alex; her cherished
children, Michael Klos of Colorado Springs, Colo., Sharon (Timothy)
Fischer of West Bend and Steven Klos of the town of Wayne; four
grandchildren, Andrew and Chara Klos, Devon Klos and T.J. Fischer; her
mother, Malinda Beck of West Bend; a brother, Bernard (Judy) Beck of West
Bend; a sister, Pauline (Phil Schumacher) Beck of Greenfield; three
sisters-in-law, Tolly Beck of Suffern, N.Y., Mary Jane Melichar of
Cedarburg and Delores Neveux of Milwaukee; nieces, nephews, other
relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father; a sister, Lucy; a brother,
Claude; a brother-in-law, Leo Melichar; and her parents in-law, Frank and
Johanna Klos.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, March 30, at 7 p.m. at
Holy Angels Catholic Church with the Rev. Gerald Brittain presiding.
Burial will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. in Holy Angels Cemetery. Visitation
will be at the church only Tuesday from 4 p.m. until 6:45 p.m.
The family has requested memorials to the Holy Angels School Trust Fund.
