Lydia Frances Heimerl, 91
Lydia
Frances Heimerl (nee Schneider), 91, of Little Kohler was born to Eternal
Life on Saturday, Oct. 30, 2010, at Columbia St. Mary’s Ozaukee Campus
surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Richfield on Nov. 7 1918, to Christian and Regina (nee
Wiedmeyer) Schneider. Lydia grew up in the West Bend area and after her
schooling she attended beautician school. She later met Sylvester H.
Heimerl and entered into marriage on Oct. 14, 1939, at Holy Angel’s
Catholic Church in West Bend. As a couple they engaged in farming ever
since. Lydia loved gardening, making quilts, canning, Polka dancing, but
especially spending time with her family and grandchildren. She was a
member of the Christian Women at St. Mary’s Church in Little Kohler.
Lydia is survived by her loving children, Loretta (Gilbert) Meyer of
Fredonia, Frank (Gay) Of Newburg, Robert (Sandi) Of Brantwood, Marilyn
Habersetzer of West Bend, Leonard (Judy) of West Bend, Alfred (Lenae) of
Random Lake, Jeanette (Kenneth) Mueller of Theresa, Jerome of Random Lake,
Roman (special friend, Jane Johnson) of Fredonia, Janice (special friend,
Doug King) Heimerl of Fredonia and Bernard (Diane) of Fredonia. She is
further survived by her 40 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; a
brother, Roman Schneider; a sister, Marcella Karnitz; sister-in-law, Regina
Waldbillig; many nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Sylvester; infant
son, Jerome Joseph; infant daughter, Mary Lydia; son-in-law, Joseph
Habersetzer; brothers, Hilbert, Philip, Norbert and Christian Jr.
Schneider; a sister, Rita Schultz; sisterin-law, Ruth Heimerl;
brothers-in-law, Willard Schultz, Darrell Karnitz, Joe Heimerl, Ted
Waldbillig and Roman Thill, sisters-in-law, Evelyn Schneider, Marcie
Schneider Virginia Schneider and Josephine Thill.
A memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m. on Friday, Nov.
5, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Little Kohler, with the Rev. Guy
Gurath presiding. Visitation will be at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel in
West Bend on Thursday, Nov. 4, from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. Interment will be
at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Little Kohler.
