Damien Huelskamp, 3
Damien Huelskamp, 3, of Garden City, Kan.,
passed away Sunday, Oct. 31, 2010, at his home.
He was born Feb. 26, 2007, in Hartford. Damien was a member of St. Mary
Catholic Church in Garden City, Kan. Damien loved John Deere green and
yellow colors and John Deere equipment. He enjoyed playing with his
trains, 4-wheeling, farm equipment and bowling, where he loved to talk to
the ball. He was able to meet Mickey and Minnie Mouse on his Make-A-Wish
trip to Disneyland in California.
Damien is survived by his parents, Kurt and Rose Huelskamp of Garden City,
Kan.; two sisters, Teresa and Mary Huelskamp, both of Garden City, Kan.;
grandparents, Mark and Jane Jandl of Janesville; great-grandparents, Sy
and Vivian Huelskamp of Garden City, Kan., and Leo Henkelman of Laverne,
Okla.; great-great-grandparents, Marjorie Clark of Garden City, Kan., Jean
and John Hopkins of Charlotte, Mich.; biological parents, Jared Huelskamp
of Laverne, Okla., and Sara Huelskamp of Garden City, Kan.; uncle, Sean
Rogan of Platteville; and aunt Jaclyn Jandl of Tucson, Ariz.
A funeral Mass will be held Thursday, Nov. 4, at 10 a.m., at St. Dominic
Catholic Church in Garden City, Kan., with the Rev. Wesley Schawe and the
Rev. Shreirdell Breathett officiating. Burial will be in Valley View
Cemetery in Garden City, Kan. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 1 p.m.
to 8 p.m. at Garnand Funeral Home of Garden City, Kan.
Memorials are appreciated to St. Jude Children’s Hospital in care of
Garnand Funeral Home.
