Ronald L. ĎRoní Rose

Ronald L. "Ron" Rose, 78, of Jackson, passed away Tuesday Nov. 16, 2010, at Cedar Community Hospice at Cedar Lake Campus.

He was born on Jan. 5, 1932, in Michigan, to Donald and Ruth (nee Berghorn) Rose. After high school, Ron worked at Mercury Marine in Cedarburg, Gehl Co. and then became a rural postal carrier. In his early years, he was also a ham radio operator. Ron owned the Rosewood Products, Rosewood CB and Ronís Saw Sharpening in Jackson. He enjoyed fine dining, but most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Ron is survived by "his princess," loving wife, Christine (nee Graff); his son, Michael L. (Cindy) Rose; Chrisí son Shawn (Jessica) Maney; grandchildren, Koreena (Jason) Eckert, Joshua (Melissa) Rose, Christina Rose and Sawyer Maney; and great-grandchildren, Christopher Rose and London Rose Eckert. He is further survived by his in-laws, Gene and Marcy "Mom" Graff; sister, Marilyn Preston; brothers-in-law; sisters-in-law; special friends, Wally and Sharon Spradau; and many other nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends.

Ron is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Larry.

A memorial service for Ron will be held 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 22 .at St. Johnís Lutheran Church, 2881 Division Road, Jackson, with the Rev. Paul K. Mittermaier presiding. Visitation will be at the church only on Monday from 5 p.m. until time of service. Final place of rest will be at Christ Lutheran Cemetery in Jackson.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to the family.
