Stella H. Kluge, 95

Stella H. Kluge (nee Herbst), 95, of Kewaskum, formerly of West Bend, died on Friday, Nov. 19, 2010, at Kettle Moraine Gardens in Kewaskum.

She was born on June 17, 1915, in Barton to the late John and Matilda (nee Kircher) Herbst. Following her marriage to William E. Kluge on Jan. 12, 1938, in Michigan City, Ind., the couple moved to LaPorte, Ind. They later moved to California, living in Anza and Carlsbad. William predeceased April 4, 1976.
In 2001, Stella returned to Wisconsin, settling in West Bend until moving to Kewaskum in 2006.

Survivors include a sister, Angeline “Dolly” Reimer of Kewaskum; a niece-in-law, Marilyn Wagner of West Bend; a great-nephew, Tom (Laurie) Wagner of West Bend; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by brothers and sisters, Antoinette (Louis) Wrasse, Agnes (Andrew) Pawlicki, Clarence Herbst, Octavia, Frances (Herbert) Burkhart, Victor, Mildred (Edward) Wagner, Leona (Harold) Wallenfelsz and Clarence “Boby” (Violet) Herbst; and a brother-inlaw, Paul Reimer.

Memorial services will be held on Monday, Nov. 29, at 7 p.m. at the Schmidt Funeral Home in West Bend with the Rev. Jeff Haines officiating. Burial of the cremated remains will be at a later date in El Camino Mortuary and Memorial Park in San Diego, Calif. The family will greet relatives and friends at the funeral home on Monday from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m.
