Glenn Thomas Greene, 86

Glenn Thomas Greene, 86, of West Bend, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 24, 2010, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in West Bend from a battle with lung disease.

He was born on Nov. 4, 1924, to John and Lucy (nee Richard) Greene in Brackett. On Oct. 26, 1952, he married Arlean (nee Fischer) in North Dakota. Glenn graduated from Eau Claire High School in 1942 and enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1943, serving in World War II until 1946. Glenn retired from A.O. Smith in Milwaukee in 1982. He enjoyed his lawn and gardening and also cars. Glenn was a member of West Bend VFW Post No. 1393.

Glenn is survived by his wife, Arlean; one son, Alan (Anne); two grandchildren, Amy (Chuck) Dricken and Abby Greene; great-grandchildren, Bryce, Lucy and Leah Dricken and Allissandra Greene.

He is preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Donald Greene.
A funeral service will be at noon on Tuesday, Nov. 30, at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel of West Bend with the Rev. David Stone presiding. Interment will take place at Wisconsin Memorial Park. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Tuesday, Nov. 30, from 10:30 a.m. until time of service (noon).
Memorials are appreciated to the American Lung Association and WI Parkinson Disease.
