Bernice T. Pfeiffer, 92


Bernice T. Pfeiffer (nee Wenninger), 92, of West Bend, formerly of Hubertus, passed away Thursday Nov. 25, 2010, at Seasons Hospice in Waukesha.

She was born on May 6, 1918, in Hubertus to John and Anna (nee Heindl) Wenninger. Bernice was raised in Hubertus and after her schooling, she was a weaver for 35 years. On June 19, 1937, she married Francis Pfeiffer in Hubertus. She moved to West Bend in July of 1997 and was the owner/operator of The Village Gift Shop in Hubertus. Bernice was a former member of St. Hubertís Church.

Bernice is survived by her two daughters, Juanita (Orville) Theisen of Hubertus and Sharon (James) Legate of West Bend. She is further survived by three grandchildren, Timothy (Kim) Theisen, Diane Trimberger and James (Brielle) Legate Jr.; seven great-grandchildren, Joshua, Matthew, Marna and Jill Theisen, Tyler, Jacob (fiancť Leah Arndorfer) and Kayla Trimberger, Mason, Madison and Camden Legate; a great great-grandson, Chase Trimberger; four sisters, Ohtilda Gundrum of West Bend, Ruth Kohlbeck and Joan (Walter) Breu, all of Hubertus, and Jean (James) Konrath of Summit; two brothers, LeRoy of Hubertus and Jerome Wenninger of Slinger; sister-in-law, Judy Wenninger of Wautoma; nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Francis; daughter, Noreen Pfeiffer; a sister, Lucille Gangware; two brothers, Herbert and Eugene Wenninger; sistersin-law, Joyce and Frieda Wenninger; brothers-in-law, Andrew Gundrum and Roy Gangware.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 30, at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, 1025 S. 7th St., West Bend, with the Rev. Jeff Haines presiding. Interment will be at St. Hubertís Cemetery. Visitation will be at the church only on Tuesday, Nov. 30, from 4 p.m. until time of Mass (6:30 p.m.).
