Robin Olson, 68
Robin Olson died peacefully at home on Reservoir Pond in Townsend on Saturday, Nov. 20, 2010, at the age of 68.
Robin was born in Milwaukee on June 22, 1942, to Ruth (Elbe) and Erhardt Olson. Robin graduated from Whitefish Bay High School in 1960. Olson was a community volunteer and a member of the Thiensville-Mequon Lions Club since 1981. He was also involved with the Thiensville Businessmenís Association and the Chamber of Commerce.
One of his joys was playing with his grandchildren, Quinn and Reese Crandall, and Wyatt, Carson, and Mavrick Roller, all of Port Washington. He also enjoyed fishing off his pier with his black lab, Shadow, both in Wisconsin and at their winter home in Florida. He loved life and making people smile, which was defined by his favorite quote "laugh often and much."
Robin was preceded in death by his father, Erhardt Olson.
He is survived by his wife, Gitta; daughters, Michelle (Kevin) Crandall and Erica (Allen) Roller; mother, Ruth; brothers, Jan and Jay (Kathy); grandchildren, nieces, a nephew, cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends.
No formal funeral service is planned, but a future gathering will be announced to commemorate his passing and celebrate his life.
