Lyle W. Schulz, 80
Lyle W. Schulz passed away at his home on Wednesday, Sept. 29, 2010, at
the age of 80. He was born on Jan. 6, 1930, to Ray and Melinda (nee
Justman) Schulz in Allenton. Lyle married his wife Bernice (nee Laatsch)
on Jan. 29, 1949. He continued St. Lawrence Equipment, Inc. in 1953, which
was originally started by Bernice’s father, Alfred Laatsch, in 1935.
Lyle is survived by his loving wife Bernice, four children Evonne (Jeff)
Anderson, Randy, Steve (Jane) and Mark Schulz; grandchildren Lindsay,
Jenna, Tyler and Kaitlin Schulz. He is further survived by his in-laws,
Arlene McCardle, Dianne (Andy) Pesch and Joan (Ed) Hetebrueg; two
brothers, Earl (Joyce) and Orville (Eileen) Schulz; and one sister, Joyce
Lyle is preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Melinda Schulz; father-
and mother-in-law, Alfred and Eleanor Laatsch; sister in-law, Dolores
Schoeder; and brother in-law, Fred Laatsch.
A Mass of Christian burial for Lyle will take place at 10 a.m. on Friday,
Oct. 8, 2010, at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, 4886 Highway 175, St.
Lawrence, with Fr. Joseph Dominic and Fr. Alois Van Beek presiding.
Visitation will be at the church only on Thursday, Oct. 7, from 3 p.m.
until 8 p.m. with continued visitation on Friday, Oct. 8, from 9 a.m.
until time of Mass (10 a.m.).
The family would like to extend a special thank you to his dedicated
employees, loyal customers and friends of St. Lawrence Equipment, Inc. In
lieu of flowers the family would appreciate memorials to St. Lawrence
Catholic Church Improvement Fund.
