Renata E. Luedtke, 89

A funeral service was held on Saturday, Oct. 2, 2010, at 11 a.m. at First Immanuel Lutheran Church in Cedarburg for Renata E. Luedtke of Saukville. Renata went to her heavenly home on Wednesday, Sept. 29, 2010, at the age of 89. The Rev. Jon Van Sliedricht officiated at the funeral service.  Interment took place at Zur Ruhe Cemetery in Cedarburg.

Renata was born on the family farm in Newburg, on April 12, 1921, the daughter of Frederick Beimborn and Anna (nee Wilkens) Beimborn. She later married the love of her life, Cyril "Cy" Luedtke on April 25, 1942, at St. Johnís Lutheran Church in Newburg. Their marriage was blessed with two daughters.
Renata worked as a seamstress for many years and was responsible for sewing many Army jackets. She was a longtime member of First Immanuel Lutheran Church in Cedarburg. Renata enjoyed music, dancing and playing sheepshead; however her true love was spending time with her family. She will be dearly missed by many for her warmth, quick wit and wonderful sense of humor.

Renata leaves behind her daughters, Jane (Larry) Schmidt and Carol (John) Willhard; grandchildren, Scott Schmidt and Dana Schmidt; great-grandchild, Chase Schmidt; and sister, Elsa Egerer. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Renata was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Cyril "Cy" Luedtke; grandson, Ryan Willhard, three sisters and five brothers.
