Rita L. Bischoff, 82

Rita L. Bischoff, 82, of Cedarburg, formerly of Grafton, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 9, 2010, at the Lasata Care Center in Cedarburg.

Rita was born on Nov. 24, 1927, in Milwaukee, to Joseph and Lulu (nee King) Heisler. She graduated from Custer High School in 1946. She later married Nicholas Bischoff on May 20, 1950, at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Milwaukee.  She was a homemaker for most of her life and enjoyed baking, knitting, gardening, reading and professing her profound faith in God and religious convictions.

Rita is survived by her children, William Bischoff of Cedarburg, Nancy (Frank) Bichler of Stetsonville, Lorraine (Richard) Wollner of Cedarburg, Betty (Bill) Scully of Garland, Texas, and Nick (Annette) Bischoff of Sheboygan.  She is further survived by 11 grandchildren, one great-grandchild, a sister, Carolyn (Jack) Lenske of Mississippi, a brother, Jim Heisler of Milwaukee, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Nicholas Bischoff; a brother, Robert Heisler; and a sister, Joan Wolf.

Visitation will take place on Thursday, Oct. 14, 2010, from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church South in Cedarburg. A Rosary service will be held on Thursday at the church at 10:30 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 11 a.m. Father Tom Eichenberger will officiate the funeral Mass.  Interment will take place at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Grafton.
