Eloise F. ‘Ellie’ Renzaglia, 72
Eloise
F. "Ellie" Renzaglia, 72, of Hartford, passed away on Sunday,
Oct. 10, 2010, at home surrounded by her family after a long courageous
battle with cancer to join her husband of 52 years.
She was born on Jan. 27, 1938, in Chicago, to Walter and Frances (nee
Ewing) Clement. Ellie was united in marriage to Delbert Renzaglia on Dec.
8, 1956, at St. John United Church of Christ in Slinger.
As a small child Ellie moved to Washington Island in Door County. Ellie
always considered Washington Island her home. In her teen years, she moved
to Slinger where she attended and graduated from Slinger High School in
1955. After marriage, Ellie and Del move to Hartford and raised their
family. Ellie worked in the office at Hartford Union High School for 25
years. She loved her garden, puzzles (of all kinds), baseball, football,
golf, bowling and NASCAR. She was a devoted wife. She loved to do the
things Del loved to do just so they could be together.
Ellie is survived by her children, Lawrence (Mary) Renzaglia of West Bend,
Robb (Rochelle) Renzaglia of Hartford, SuzAnne Renzaglia of Fond du Lac,
Michael (Kristan) Renzaglia of Erin; her grandchildren, Jessica (Jason)
Daniel, Craig Renzaglia, Sebastian Petak, Gabriella Luecke, Antonio
Renzaglia and Taylor Renzaglia; her great-grandchildren ,
Michael, Landon and Taylor Daniel; her step-grandchildren and
step-great-grandchildren; her siblings, Roger (Betty) Clement, Allen
(Diane) Clement and Maureen "Pattie" (Donald) Wachuta; and her
brother in-law, Kenneth Renzaglia of Hartford. Ellie is further survived by
nieces; nephews; other relatives; special friends, Linda Meyer, Kay
Becker, Barb Osmus and Nancy Spahn; and many other friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Del.
Funeral services for Ellie will be held on Thursday, Oct. 14, at 6 p.m. at
First United Methodist Church, 738 W. Monroe Ave., Hartford, with the Rev.
Brian Kundinger officiating. The family will greet relatives and friends
on Thursday from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the church. Interment at Pleasant
Cemetery in Hartford.
