Robert P. Granger

Robert P. Granger, 76, of West Bend, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, Oct. 10, 2010, surrounded by his loving family.

Bob was born on Sept. 29, 1934, in Manitowoc, to the late Lawrence and Florence (nee Piehl) Granger. He graduated from Lincoln High School in Manitowoc and joined the U.S. Air Force. He spent four years in the Air Force as a flight engineer. Bob also worked as a signalman for the Chicago Northwestern Railroad for many years and studied electrical engineering at Milwaukee Area Technical College.

Bob was a very special dad and will be dearly missed by his son, Robert L. Granger of Kewaskum, and daughters, Cindy (Gary) Knoeck and Robyn (Larry) Rew, both of West Bend. He was also a loving grandfather to five grandchildren, Tanner (Lisa) Granger-Beck, Andy Beck, Jamie (fiancÚ, Mark Kannenberg) Beck, Alex Meredig and Bret Morgan. Bob is further survived by his sister, Gloria (Darul) Bachmann of Green Bay, nieces, nephew, other relatives, and friends.

Visitation will be on Thursday, Oct. 21, from 1 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. at Holy Angels Catholic Church, 138 N. 8th St., West Bend, followed by a memorial Mass of Christian burial that will take place at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Gerald Brittain presiding. Inurnment at Washington County Memorial Park.

The Phillip Funeral Home of West Bend is assisting the family.
