Leander Clarence Hoeppner
Leander C. Hoeppner, 77, of Rubicon, passed
away Sunday, Oct. 17, 2010, at the Aurora Medical Center in Hartford.
Leander was born Sept. 12, 1933, in Rubicon, to Otto and Pauline (nee
Canar) Hoeppner. He was united in marriage to Patricia Butts on Feb. 14,
1953, at St. John Catholic Church in Rubicon.
Leander was a handyman and a metal artist.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia; his children, Mike (Lois) of
Rubicon, Mark (Trischa) of Rubicon, John (Peggy) of Mayville and Butch
Hoeppner of Hartford; 10 grandchildren, Mike Jr., Nick, Shelly, Sabrina,
P.J., Marcus, David Jennifer, Nicole and Donavan; nine
great-grandchildren, Shayna, Holli, Thomas, Sara, Charlie, James, Anna,
Mia and Kayden; and his sisters-inlaw, Betty (Gene) Gissen, Vicki Urban,
Linda Butts, Joyce Vander Galien and Virginia Bjerken. Leander is further
survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his daughter-in-law, Theresa
Hoeppner; and his brothersin-law, Perry and Charles Butts
Mass of Christian burial for Leander will be held Wednesday, Oct, 20, at
7:30 p.m. at St. John Catholic Church, W1170 Rome Road, Rubicon, with the
Rev. Alois Van Beek officiating. Family will greet relatives and friends
on Wednesday at the church only from 3 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Interment at St.
John Catholic Cemetery in Rubicon.
