Lois M. Kromm, 80
Lois
M. Kromm, 80, of Hartford passed away Tuesday, Oct. 19, surrounded by her
family.
She was born July 31, 1930, in Whitewater, the daughter of Edward and
Jordis (nee Johnson) Bromley. Lois spent her childhood summers at her
grandfather’s farm in La Grange, where she had many fond memories. She
married John Kromm Sept. 15, 1951, in Wauwatosa. Lois and her husband
enjoyed gardening and she canned much of her produce. Sauerkraut was one
of her specialties that became gifts at Christmas along with other canned
vegetables. She loved animals and enjoyed the family dogs. Lois and John
were very devoted to each other. She enjoyed working alongside John in his
projects. Lois was a loving mother who will be deeply missed by her
family.
Lois is survived by her children Darrell (Mary) Kromm of Reeseville and
Amy Fredrick of Juneau; her grandchildren, Kay (Justin Woldt) Kromm of
Nebraska and Linaria Kromm of North Carolina; her sisters Elaine Bromley
of Land O' Lakes and Beverly (Lynn) Turkelson of Ohio. Also surviving are
nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
Visitation is Friday Oct. 22, from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the Little
Chapel of the Flowers at Wisconsin Memorial Park, 13235 West Capitol Dr.,
Brookfield. Funeral service will follow at 2:30 p.m. Interment Wisconsin
Memorial Park.
