Terry Leigh Fitch, 58

Terry Leigh Fitch, 58, of Cedarburg, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 26, 2010.

Terry was born on June 10, 1952, to James and Joanne Mae (nee Strom) Fitch in Gary, Ind. He graduated from West Bend High School in 1970 and then attended the University of Wisconsin-Fond du Lac and later worked at Poroer Products. He lived in Kewaskum and then later moved to Cedarburg. In 1975, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy Advanced Electronics for four years and was honorably discharged in 1979. Terry worked in the South for several winters. His hobbies included short wave radio, Russian language and music. He enjoyed skiing, skating and he loved the north woods. In June 2010, he began his courageous battle with advanced lung cancer.

Terry is survived by his mother and step-father, Ron and Joanne Katchever; father, James Fitch; sisters, Cheri L. Fitch Pamela (Michael) Mueller; nephew, Christopher Mueller; uncle, Donald Anderson; cousins, Tom (Debbie) Huber, Donald Anderson Jr., Derrick Anderson, Trent Huber, Lauren Huber and Ayden; and many friends.

Preceded in death by his grandparents, Miles and Marie Strom, Francis and Grace Fitch; and special aunt, Lynaya "Lynn" Anderson.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 29, at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel of West Bend. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday, Oct. 29, from 1 p.m. until time of service (2 p.m.).

Memorials are appreciated to the American Cancer Society.

Terry will be missed by family and friends.
