Leo J. Bruskiewicz, 76

Leo J.Bruskiewicz passed away Sunday, Sept. 5, 2010, at the Kathy Hospice at the age of 76.

Leo was born on May 26, 1934 to Casmier and Pauline (nee Lepak) Bruskiewicz. He married Sylvia Gross on May 9, 1959 in St. Michaels. He served in the Korean War in United States Army from 1956-1958. Leo was proud of his 37 years of dedicated service to American Can Co. as a truck driver. He loved repairing old tractors and cars, deer hunting, and most of all, spending time with his family.

Leo is survived by his wife Sylvia; children Rick Bruskiewicz and Debra Cassidy; and granddaughter Brittany Cassidy. He is further survived by his siblings Daniel (Lorraine) Bruskiewicz, Mary (the late Frank) Smurawa, Cecilia (the late Chester) Smurawa, Agnes (the late Harry) Wasielewski, Stanley (Dolores) Bruskiewicz, Lucy Bruskiewicz, Theresa (the late Alvin) Tauschek, Dorothy (Mike) Van Den Heuvel, and Elizabeth Boyer; sisters-in-law Elaine Hobelsberger and Florence Gross; and many other nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Leo is preceded in death by his parents, and sister-in-law Sally Panzer.

A funeral service for Leo will be at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 8, 2010, at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel, 1420 W. Paradise Drive, West Bend, with Chaplain Cheryl Matusiak presiding. Visitation will be at the funeral home only on Wednesday, Sept. 8, from 11 a.m. until time of service at 2 p.m. Entombment to follow at Washington County Memorial Park.
