Dawn M. Bautz (nee Lytle) of West Bend, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 7, 2010, at St. Joseph’s Hospital.

Dawn was born on July 23, 1953, to Gordon and Gloria (nee Yernesek) in Milwaukee. She was raised in Brookfield and attended Brookfield East High School, class of 1971. After high school, Dawn was employed at Inland Diesel until she married Edward Bautz on Sept. 20, 1975, at Brookfield Lutheran Church. She enjoyed traveling, looking for antiques at flea markets, reading books, but most of all she loved spending time with her family. Dawn had a very giving personality and always helped others. She was a member of Shepherd of the Hills Evangelical Lutheran Church.

Dawn is survived by her husband, Edward; children, Jeremy (Shanna) Bautz, Ryan Bautz and step-son Steve (DeeDee) Erdman. She is further survived by her grandchildren, Alexis Bautz and Cody Erdman; grandparents, Gordon (Gloria) Lytle; sister, Luann (Jeff) Weber; brothers, Dennis (Janet) Lytle, Jeff (Dawn) Lytle and Marshall Lytle; brother-in-law, Al (Cathy) Bautz; sister-in-law, Eleanor (Simo) Sucezic; her dog, Cassidy; cat, Radar; many nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her son, Jason; and in-laws, Edward (Hedwig) Bautz.

A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 10, 2010, at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel of West Bend with the Rev. Dan Luetke presiding. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday, Sept. 10, from 4 p.m. until time of service.
