Dorothy J. Reuter, 84

Funeral services were held Monday, Sept. 20, 2010, at Faith Lutheran Church in Cedarburg for Dorothy J. Reuter (nee Zeunert), 84.  She died Sept. 16, 2010, surrounded by her family.

Dorothy was born on June 16, 1926, to Eugene and Henrietta (Hensler) Zeunert. She was very proud of her familyís long heritage in Cedarburg. Dorothy graduated from Cedarburg High School in 1944, and from Milwaukee Lutheran School of Nursing in 1947. On Sept. 20, 1947, Dorothy married Harold Reuter at Advent Lutheran Church.

Dorothy and Harold were well-known throughout the area for their popular restaurant businesses. Starting in the í50s and í60s with The Chuckwagon and Reuterís Restaurant in Cedarburg, and ending their career operating Reuterís Supper Club and Bowl in Germantown for over 20 years. Dorothy was an avid golfer and sports enthusiast. She golfed, bowled and played cards into her 80s.

Survivors include daughters Sharon (John) Tomlin of Forest Lake, Minn., and their children Jessica Brunfelt, Kristan Chesnut, Kari Roehrich, Jamie Wallerstedt; Teri (Brian) Scheunemann of Cedarburg and their children Tara Petersen and Jason; Cindy (Steve) Hoogester of West Bend and their children Scott and Tom; Shelley Formella of Neenah and her children Lee, Erin, Amy and Jacob; and one sister, Nancy Johnson of Grafton. Dorothy also had eight great-grandchildren:  Makenzie, Tyler, Anna, Catherine, Alaina, Alexis, Levi and Ellyana.

She was preceded in death by Harold, two sisters (Lois Scherbert and Betty Bassett), and twin infant grandsons (Bryan and Bradley Formella).
