Deanna June Dobberphul

Deanna June Dobberphul (nee Rowley), 71, of Kewaskum, was called to her Heavenly home Friday, Sept. 17, 2010.

Deanna, the daughter of (Lee) Bert and Irma Marie (nee Kuester) Rowley, was born on Dec. 12, 1938, in La Crosse. She was married, baptized and confirmed at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in LaCrosse. She married Raymond W. Dobberphul on June 25, 1966. She was baptized on April 16, 1939, and confirmed on March 29, 1953.

Deanna graduated from college at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and received a degree in education. She originally taught in the public schools in Port Washington and then in Kewaskum. She was called by the Lord to instruct kindergarteners at St. Johnís Evangelical Lutheran School from 1982 to 1993. She taught every precious child entrusted to her care to trust in and praise their Lord and Savior through prayer and song. Deannaís greatest joy was spending time with her husband and family, including her four grandchildren. She loved doing crafts with her grandchildren, reading books to them and watching them develop and grow. Deanna loved to bake, sew, craft and knit.

Beloved wife of Ray. Loving mother of her two children, Tim (Melissa) and Sharon (Jeff) Thierfelder. Dearest grandmother of Jared and Carissa Thierfelder and Haden and Mitchell Dobberphul. She is further survived by her three brothers, Jim (Judith) Rowley, her twin brother Don (Ardis) Rowley, Paul (Kathy) Rowley; sister-in-law, Grace (Don) Schultz, brother-in-law, Rick (Sue) Hahn; many nieces; nephews; and many other family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services for Deanna will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 22, at St. Lucas Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1417 Parkview, Kewaskum with the Rev. Timothy A. Henning presiding. Visitation will be at the church on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until time of service. Interment will be at Washington County Memorial Park Cemetery.
