John G. Bottleman, 69, of Oshkosh, formerly of West Bend, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 21, 2010, at his residence.

He was born on Aug. 9, 1941, to Leonard and Ann (nee Raab) Bottleman in the town of Barton.

John married Edith Klein on April 28, 1962, at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in St. Lawrence. He enjoyed traveling, gambling and playing cards and dice. He loved being outdoors, fishing, hunting and camping. John loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

John is survived by his wife, Edie; children, Christine (Bruce) Taylor and Donald (Holly) Bottleman; grandchildren, Katie (Bryce Conwell) Roepke, Brian and Bradley Bottleman, Quinton, Samuel and Nathan Taylor. He is further survived by his brother, Robert (Paula) Bottleman; sister-in-law, Rosie (Kenneth) Heder; many other nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.

John is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Rita (Hank) Rosin; and nephew, Mike Rosin.

A memorial service for John will be at noon on Saturday, Sept. 25, at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel in West Bend with the Rev. Jim Chrisien presiding. Gathering will be from 10 a.m. until time of service.
