Stephen P. "Steve" Schmoker, 50, of Jackson, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, Sept. 21, 2010.

Steve was born on Dec. 20, 1959, in New Glarus, to Mildred Zurkirchen and Paul Schmoker. He married Mari Jo Weier on May 2, 1990.

Steve lived his life "FULL THROTTLE." He loved his wife Mari Jo, and daughter Miranda, along with his beloved dogs, Tink, Zoe and Molly. Steve loved to laugh and make others laugh just as well. He will be missed for his generosity of spirit and his use of creativity to make a warm environment for his family. He was always helping others and rescuing animals. Steve also enjoyed his recreational vehicles. His talent will be sorely missed in his trade. He will be fondly remembered as the charismatic man who could make anything and make it happen!

Steve is survived by his wife, Mari Jo (nee Weier); daughter, Miranda; his parents, Millie Zurkirchen and Paul Schmoker; and sister, Stephanie Schmoker. He is further survived by his mother-in-law, Betty Weier, and several siblings-in-law.

A celebration of Steve’s life will be held at a later date. The "Steve Schmoker Memorial Fund" has been established at all branches of Westbury Bank.
