Valerie Elizabeth Hron, 49

Valerie Elizabeth Hron, 49, of Cedarburg, passed away on April 6, 2011, at Kathy Hospice of West Bend.

Valerie Elizabeth Hron came into the world March 1, 1962, to parents Mary (nee Shannon) and Richard Hron in West Bend. She attended St. Johnís Lutheran School (K-8) and West Bend West High School, where she was involved in French Club, National Honor Society, Pom Poms and Forensics. She was an AFS student and lived in Eupen, Belgium, for the summer of 1979, and graduated as Salutatorian of her class in 1980. She attended Carroll College in Waukesha, where she was involved in the Alpha Xi Delta Sorority and graduated with her bachelor of science degrees in accounting and French. Valerie was a Notary Public, a CPA and spoke French fluently. Valerie began her business and accounting career at Arthur Young in Milwaukee, moved on to Harley Davidson Corp. and then joined her grandfather, S.W. Hron, and father, R.W. Hron, in the family business, Barton Products Corp.. In December 2007, Valerie bought the company with her husband Raymond, changed the name to Barton Precision Components LLC, and took over as president where she remained until the time of her death.
She was a member of National Association of Female Executives, National Professional Women, Precision Machine Products Association, Alpha Xi Delta sorority and numerous other committees, community and national organizations.

Valerie is survived by the love of her life, husband Ray Batista; her beloved daughters, Nicole Elizabeth, 21, and Caroline Hope, 19; loving parents, Mary (Shannon) and Richard Hron; cherished older sister, Laura (Lee) Pulsifer and Monica (Patrick) Schommer; adored sister-inlaw of Albert Batista, Martha Batista, Rene (Sonia) Batista, Rick (Lucy) Batista and Rosie Batista; treasured aunt to Luke, Noah and Oliver Pulsifer and Hannah and Clare Schommer. She is further survived by her loving Belgian family, Heri and Edith Packes, Elke, Christine and Caroline; and many other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by Bernardine (Sprangers) and James Shannon, Mary (Alliet) and Sylvester Hron, Carol Manzoni, Inez (Lujan) Batista and Joey Batista.

A funeral service for Valerie will be held at 5 p.m. on Monday, April 11, at St. Johnís Evangelical Lutheran Church, 809 S 6th Ave., West Bend, with the Rev. Jeff Dorth presiding. Visitation will be at the church on Monday, April 11, from 2 p.m. until time of service. Private interment will take place.
Memorials would be appreciated to Living Word High School Scholarship Fund and/or St. Johnís Lutheran Church.
