LaVerne Koeller, 84|


LaVerne D. Koeller was born to eternal life April 1, 2011 at Columbia 
St Mary’s Hospital. She was born in Milwaukee, the only child of 
William and Josephine (Hoffmann) Koeller on March 10, 1927.

She was a resident at Alexian Village of Milwaukee for the past 12 
years. While there she made many kind and wonderful friends. LaVerne 
enjoyed traveling with friends. She loved animals and had two dogs 
that were her best friends. She was employed by Ameritech, as a 
telephone operator and then as a sales rep for Yellow Pages for 30 
years.

Her grandfather was Ernest Hoffmann, founder of Hoffmann’s Meat 
Market in Cedarburg, Wis. She is survived by her cousins, Laurice 
Bell, Virginia Riewesthal, Dorothy (Gilbert) Lewis, Donald (Beverly) 
Hoffmann, Wayne (Geri) Hoffmann, Rodger Rahn, Dr. Joan Hoffmann, Anne 
Marie Cullin and many others. She was aunt and godmother to Paula 
(Dan) Greco, Dana Hoffmann and John Buetzberger, and aunt to David 
(GeriAnn) Bell, Dr. Jeff (Mai) Hoffmann, Wayne (Amy) Hoffmann, 
Valorie Schable, Lynn (Sean) O’ Gorman, Cathy (Lloyd) Scharles, Alan 
(Mary) Hoffmann, Charles (Christie) Hoffmann and many friends.
Funeral services were held April 11, 2011 at 2 p.m.. at Alexian 
Village Chapel, 9301 N. 76th Street, Milwaukee, WI. In lieu of 
flowers, memorials to Sisters of Charity of St. Joan Antida, Ozaukee 
County Humane Society or Milwaukee County Zoo.

Schramka-Densow Funeral Home, 423 N. Main St. in Thiensville, is 
serving the family.
