Lillian M. Hauser, 87

Lillian M. Hauser (nee Basler), 87, of Hartford passed away after a long battle with an illness on Friday, April 15, 2011 at her residence.

Lilly was born Jan. 4, 1924 in Addison, Wis. to Andrew and Ella (nee Rate) Basler. She was united in marriage to Willard Reichert on June 10, 1942 in Wyoming. Willard preceded her in death. On April 3, 2003 Lilly married Joseph Hauser at Holy Hill.

Lilly was a member of St. John United Church of Christ in Hartford for many years. Lilly worked for Briggs and Stratton in Milwaukee. She was a dedicated employee for 28 years and a proud union supporter. She loved to play cards and travel to different casinos with her husband Joe. Everyone looked forward to her calls when she won. No call meant . Well we all know what that meant. With all the time she spent there, Lilly should be an honorary member of the Ho Chunk Nation. Lilly loved to watch the birds at the feeders and enjoyed being in a country setting, which would take her back to her roots growing up on the farm.

She is survived by her husband Joseph Hauser; her loving daughter; Suzanne (Tom) Sackett of Hartford, her grandchildren Jeff (Tami) Sackett of Erin and Wendy (Eric) Casetta of Hubertus. She is proudest great grandmother of Geoffrey and Jennifer Sackett and Morgan Casetta. She is further survived by Joe's children and families other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Lillian will be held on Tuesday, April 19, 2011 at 7 p.m. at the Shimon Funeral Home in Hartford with Pastor Jack Freiheit officiating. The family will greet relatives and friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 5 - 7 p.m. Interment will be at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Hartford.
