Marcella Troeller, 95


Marcella W. Troeller, 95, passed away Sunday, April 17, 2011. She was born on Aug. 17, 1915, the daughter of Edward and Martha (nee Blank) Fuiten. She married Arthur J. Troeller on Sept. 10, 1938 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Huilsburg. Marcella and Art farmed on various farms in the towns of Herman and Rubicon before moving to Hartford in 1964.

Marcella worked at Natural Casing and Badger Laboratories in Jackson. She was a loving mother and grandmother who took great pride in taking care of her family. The grandchildren have many fond memories of staying at grandma's house. Marcella volunteered at Peace Mission Society and Momís at the Cross. When she was able, she enjoyed working on the flower beds at church.

She is preceded in death by her husband Arthur on Feb. 19, 2007, and two brothers, Raymond Fuiten and Wilmer Fuiten.

Marcella is survived by her children, Ralph (Carol) Troeller of Las Cruces, N.M., Eugene Troeller of Tremont, Ill., Marilyn (Mel) Kruse of Menasha, Betty (Gerald) Schiller of Chelsea, Mich., Eldon (Linda) Troeller of Hortonville, and Lois Pomerenke of Tempe, Ariz.; her daughter-in-law Madeline (Roland) Haass of West Bend; 16 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and her brother Milton (Mary Joan) Fuiten of Green Bay.

Visitation will be Tuesday, April 26, 2011 from 10 a.m. to noon at Peace Lutheran Church, 1001 Center St., Hartford, Funeral service will follow at noon at the church. The Rev. Aaron Steinbrenner will officiate. Interment will be at Pleasant Hill Cemetery.

The family would like to extend a special "thank you" to the staffs at Kilkenny Cottage and Heartland Hospice for their compassion and loving care of their mother.
