Pamela E. O’Connell, 67
Pamela E. O'Connell, (nee Flannery), 67, of Hartford passed away peacefully on Friday, April 15, 2011, surrounded by her family.
Pam was born on Oct. 19, 1943, in Milwaukee, to John and Harriet (nee Schultz) Flannery.
Pam was the beloved wife of Terry Schmechel. Pam and Terry were united in marriage on May 29, 2008. She was the loving mother of John (Carolyn) O'Connell, Heather (Charles) Hammack, Patrick (Tracy) O'Connell, Megan (Nat) O'Connell Tharpe, Liam (Tamie) O'Connell and Ryan O'Connell. Pam was the proud grandma of Aimee, Sarah, Kevan, Jennifer, Daniel, Delaney, C.J., Katherine, Collin, Ian, Jordan, Tatum, and Baby-to-be. She was the cherished great-grandmother of Chloe, Malachi, Cadence, Kianna, and Gabriel. Pam was the fond sister of John (Claire) Flannery, William (Cheryl) Flannery and Rob Flannery. She is further survived by other relatives and friends. Pam was preceded in death by her parents and husband, John O'Connell, of 38 years. Pam and John were married on June 2, 1962, and they raised their family in Hartford, WI.
Pam grew up in Wausau, Wis., and graduated from Wausau High School. She attended Marquette University and Patricia Stevens College. Pam had worked as a realtor as well as being a highly regarded equine and wedding photographer. Her hobbies included gardening, knitting, and cooking. She was an avid nature lover who enjoyed the simple things in life. Her warm smile and contagious laughter will be missed by all who knew her.
A visitation and memorial talk were held on Monday, April 18, 2011, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, Hartford.
