Eric Scott Weiss, 18
Eric Scott Weiss, 18, passed away Saturday, July 30, 2011. Eric was born on Dec. 12, 1992, in West Bend to Elisa Weiss.
Eric is a 2011 graduate of West Bend East High School. He enjoyed the outdoors, including; fishing, hunting, camping, and boating. He also enjoyed spending time with Shawn, his Big Brother. He loved spending time with his girlfriend Erica at the youth group at Still Waters United Methodist Church. He especially loved to spend time with his family and will be missed at the 4th of July water-fights.
Eric is survived by his mother, Elisa; one brother, Jacob Carstensen; aunts, Cindy (Jack) Carter, Rhonda (Mark) Loppnow, Brenda (Wally) Grotelueschen, Tanya (Dennis) Klein, Victoria Oestreich, and Dana (Eric) Staples; uncles, John and Bradley Weiss; cousins, Brooke, Brandon, and Paige Carter, Britany, Bethany (Justin Wicks), and Ashley Loppnow, Amanda (Michael Polze) Grotelueschen, Kylie and Jared Weiss, Cassandra Weiss, Matthew and Nicholas Oestreich, William and Abigail Staples, Violet, Jenna, and Destiny Weiss; girlfriend, Erica Geurts; and other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Harry and Nancy (nee Peterson) Weiss; cousin, Justin Staples; great aunt and uncle, Marion and George Mondeik.
A funeral service for Eric will be held on Friday, Aug. 5, 2011 at 7 p.m. at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel of West Bend with Director of Youth and Family Ministries Mitch Buenger presiding. The visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday, Aug. 5, 2011, from 4 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. Interment will take place on Saturday, Aug. 6, 2011, at Union Cemetery in Newburg.
The family would like to extend a special "thank you" to Cassandra "K.C." Weiss for helping the family, the Wal-Mart family, and Shawn, Jennifer, and Zach Bartels from the Big Brothers and Big Sisters for their loving care.
He will be greatly missed for picking on his younger brother Jacob and deeply missed by everyone who loved him.
