Sun Pun Troeller, 58, of Slinger, passed away on Thursday, Aug. 4, 2011, at Froedtert Memorial Hospital in Milwaukee.
Sun was born Jan. 2, 1953, in Kyonggi-do, South Korea to Changdong Soe and Hyesun Bang. She was united in marriage to David Troeller on June 5, 1993 at St. Olaf’s Lutheran Church in Ashippun.
Sun was a member of St. Olaf’s Church for many years. She worked for Midas International in Hartford for over 27 years before their shutdown. She has been working at Cedar Community for the last 4 years. In December of 2010, Sun became a U.S. Citizen which she was extremely proud of. She was a wonderful cook. Her specialties were delicious Korean dishes. She loved gardening. Sun had a great sense of humor. When she came to this country she knew nothing about football, but that changed soon and she became an avid football fan, especially her beloved Green Bay Packers. Sun had a heart bigger than her 5 foot stature.
Sun is survived by her husband Dave; her children Karen (Jason) Kubly, Shirley Malchek and Andrea Cramblit; her grandchildren Katelynn, Wilson, Jason Jr., Kalli, Alayna and Jacob; her family in Korea; her parents-in-law Rudolph and Joyce Troeller; her brother-in-law Jeff (Diana) Troeller. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Sun will be held Wednesday, Aug. 10, 2011 at 7 p.m. at St. Olaf’s Lutheran Church, W653 Roosevelt Road, with Pastor Matt Lee officiating. Family will greet relatives and friends on Wednesday at the church only from 4 to 7 p.m.
Interment Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Hartford. Memorials to St. Olaf’s Church or the Froedtert Oncology Department.
