Elsie K. Kleinmann, 93
Elsie K. Kleinmann (Higgins, nee Janke), 93, passed peacefully to eternal life on Saturday, Aug. 6th, 2011.
Elsie was born March 11, 1918, in New Prague, Minn. to Paul and Marie (nee Gatz) Janke.
Elsie married Paul J. Higgins on Dec. 25, 1936. She was widowed in 1960, and later married Roman F. Kleinmann on Nov. 14, 1970. Elsie was a devoted wife and mother who loved family and friends.
Elsie was preceded in death by her husband Roman F. Kleinmann, brothers Carl (Mae) Janke, Irvin (Dorothy) Janke, Elmer (Nellie) Janke, Paul Jr. Janke, and sisters Viola (John ‘Slim’) Roen, and Edna (Roy ‘Bud’) Gee, daughter Pauline (Witlow, nee Higgins) Vaughn, grandson Jonathan Vaughn, son-in-law Jack Vaughn.
Elsie is survived by a sister Marge (nee Janke) Verhasselt; sons James (Priscilla) Higgins; Gerald Higgins, daughter Susan (Joseph) Hayes, step daughter Lee Ann (Robert) (nee Kleinmann) Gotter, daughter-in-law Barbara (Shaffer) Higgins.
Loving grandmother of Cindy Geib, Wendy Meyer, JoAnn Schmidt, Ronald Higgins, Jeffery Higgins, Kimberly Hayes, Tracy Gilboy, Thomas Gotter and further survived by 14 great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren, and many cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends.
Visitation to be held from 4 p.m. 6 p.m., at Phillip Funeral Home Chapel, 1420 W. Paradise Drive in West Bend, on Wednesday, Aug. 10, 2011. A Mass of Christian burial to follow and held at 6:30 p.m., at St. Mary’s Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 406 Jefferson St. also in West Bend. Interment will take place Thursday at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery, at 7301 West Nash St., Milwaukee.
