Earl Indermuehle of Carthage, Mo. was born Aug. 4, 1935, in Hartford to Herbie and Gladys Indermuehle.

He attended Hartford schools while working on the family farm.

Earl was a builder of fine homes, building his first home at the age of 18.

Early in his life, he married Pat Eilbes and they had four children, Mary Lou Stampfl, Steven, Larry and Stacy Holland.

In 1980, Earl married Kate (nee Gullickson) Volk and became step-father to Donny, Tammy, Patty, Mary and Bill Volk. Altogether they have seven grandkids.

Earl is also survived by his brother, Roger and sisters, Diane O’Neil, Darlene Larson and Gail Lau along with nieces, nephews, brother-in-laws and sistersin-laws. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Clyde.

Earl built many custom homes in Wisconsin, but his first love was masonry, stone, brick, and concrete work.
 
After moving to Missouri in 1983, Earl started over the road trucking with his wife Kate and they traveled the country for six and a half years.

In 1991, age 55, Earl suffered a massive stroke.

He had numerous setbacks over the years and finally went to his rest on Aug. 26, 2011.

Earl will be greatly missed by his wife, children, grandchildren, sisters, brother and their families as well as his housemates and caregivers at Carthage Health and Rehab.
