Marion Dolores Philippi, 83
Marion
Dolores (formerly Walter) Philippi (nee Seidschlag) passed away on
Saturday, Aug. 27, 2011, at the age of 83 years.
Marion was born on Feb. 29, 1928, in Chicago to Marjorie A. Richards.
She moved to Beaver Dam at a young age; also lived in New Holstein and
Mayville, graduating from Mayville High School in 1946. Marion worked at
West Bend Co. until 1951. She also worked at Amity Leather Products Co.
from 1965 until her retirement in 1989.
She married Lloyd Walter in 1948, who predeceased her in June 1986. She
later married Harold Philippi in 1989, who also predeceased her in July
2001.
She enjoyed baking, gardening, and spending time with her family,
particularly her grandchildren.
Marion was a strong follower in her faith. Marion was a Charter member of
St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church.
Marion is survived by her three sons; Michael (Sandra) of West Bend,
Jeffrey (Dawn) of Slinger, and Robert (Maria Banuchi) Walter of Glencoe,
Ill. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; Jessica (Tony) Milkus,
Jordan, Lindsay, Tyler, Christopher, Jack, and Charlie Walter, and one
great-grandchild; Julian Milkus. Further survived by nieces, nephews, other
relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her mother, husbands, and sister Patricia
Pippert.
A Mass of Christian burial for Marion will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday,
Sept. 1, 2011, at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church (1025 S. 7th Ave.)
in West Bend, with Fr. Nathan Reesman presiding.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of Mass (11 a.m.).
Entombment will follow at Washington County Memorial Park.
