Mark
A. Patten, 69, of West Bend, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2011.
He was born on Feb. 12, 1942 in Freeport, Ill. to the late M.A. “Pat”
and Agnes (nee Hannah) Patten. Mark graduated from West Bend High School
in 1960 and then attended the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. During
the Vietnam War, he served in the U.S. Navy as a corpsman on the USS
Regulus. On Feb. 26, 1972 Mark married Vicky Johnson in Florida. He was
employed at Weasler Engineering in West Bend for 36 years, retiring in
June 2008.
He is survived by his wife, Vicky; two sons, Matthew Patten of
Milwaukee, and Adam Patten of West Bend; three brothers, Jim (Merrie)
Patten, Dave Patten, and Bob (Kathy) Patten, all of West Bend; a sister,
Melinda (Kevin) Jessup of West Bend; a brother-in-law, Dennis (Marilyn)
Homer of North Carolina; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A funeral service in remembrance of Mark will be held on Friday, Dec. 2
at 7 p.m. at the Myrhum–Patten Funeral Home, 1315 W. Washington St.,
West Bend. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday from 4 p.m.
until the time of service. Burial with military honors will be in
Washington County Memorial Park, West Bend, on Saturday at 10 a.m.
