Steven A. “Grizz” Knaebe, 59, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, Nov.
28, 2011.
Steve was born on Sept. 10, 1952 in Milwaukee to Frank and Eunice (nee
Williams) Knaebe. He married Susan Rich on Sept. 29, 1977 in Milwaukee.
He was an incredibly hard worker and dedicated 30 years to Hevi-Haul
International, Ltd. in Menomonee Falls. Steve loved being outdoors,
listening to music, cooking, and mowing his lawn! Steve had a passion
for his Harleys and rode his any chance he could, often for long
distances. He was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, and trusted
friend. Steve will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
Steve is survived by his wife Susan; sons Christopher, Frank (Katie),
and Eric Knaebe; and grandchildren Zachary, Samantha, Jack, Levi, and
Miles. He is further survived by his parents Frank and Eunice Knaebe,
brother Dan (Patricia), sister Tambi (Frank Heimerich) Burrow, and many
other nieces, nephews, relatives, and dear friends.
A Memorial Service for Steve will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 3, 2011
at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel, 1420 W. Paradise Drive in West Bend.
Gathering will be from noon until 1:45 p.m. at the FUNERAL HOME ONLY on
Saturday, Dec. 3, 2011. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to
the family.
