James J. ĎJimí Pierner

James J. "Jim" Pierner, 71, of Lomira, passed away on Friday, Dec. 2, 2011, at his home.

He was born on Jan. 18, 1940, in Cedarburg, the son of the late John and Marcella (Barth) Pierner, and on Jan. 20, 1962, he was united in marriage to Marilyn Frantl in Sussex. Jim and Marilyn would have celebrated 50 years of marriage in January.

Jim loved to go hunting and was an avid Green Bay Packer fan.

Those Jim leaves behind to cherish his memory include his wife, Marilyn; two daughters, Kim Gordon (special friend, William Esselmann) of Cedarburg and Lisa Anderson (special friend, Ted Lamers) of Theresa; five grandchildren, Kelly Gordon (special friend, David Miller), Patrick Gordon, Timothy Pierner, Ethan and Scott Moen; six great-grandchildren, Dawson, Theron, Madelyn, Emilie, Jax and Samara; a cousin, Joanne Kuhn of Cedarburg; an aunt, Margaret Wollner of Germantown, other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by a brother, John (Dawn) Pierner.

A memorial service for James will be held at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2011, at the Kietzer-Miller Funeral Home in Lomira. Father Jerome Rinzel will officiate and burial of Jimís cremains will be on Wednesday at 10 a.m. in Resurrection Cemetery in Mequon.

The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4 p.m. until the time of the memorial service.
