Elaine Sadowski (nee Groth), 55, of Jackson passed away peacefully on Sunday, Dec. 4, 2011 at Horizon Hospice in Mequon.

Elaine was born in Port Washington on July 27, 1956 to LaVerne (nee Sudbrink) and the late Edward Groth and married Bruce Sadowski on March 30, 1974 at David’s Star Ev. Lutheran Church in Jackson.

Elaine grew up working in the family business, Groth’s Country Gardens with her mother and father and later became owner and operator with her husband Bruce and her children. The business and her family were her life.

She is survived by her husband Bruce of Jackson; children Paul (Shantell) of Cedarburg, Jennifer (Jason) Wollner of West Bend, and Peter (Charlotte) of Jackson; grandchildren Katelyn, Emma, Maggie, Kourtney, Ethan, and Everett; mother LaVerne Groth of Jackson, sisters Rosemary Blaeske of Germantown and Virginia (Charles) Schultz of Hubertus.

She is further survived by other relatives and many friends.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday Dec. 8, 7 p.m. at David’s Star Ev. Lutheran Church, 2470 David’s Star Drive, Jackson. Family will receive friends at the church on Thursday from 4-6:45 p.m. Memorials of your choice appreciated.
