DuWayne R. Wornardt, 65
DuWayne R. Wornardt of the town of
Barton died on Sunday, Dec. 4, 2011 at his home surrounded by his family.
He was born on Dec. 16, 1945 in West Bend to the late John and Helen (nee
Naumann) Wornardt.
Following his marriage to Ruth A. Hron on May 4, 1968 at Holy Angels
Catholic Church, the couple moved to Grafton where they lived for about
eight years. They then returned to the West Bend area where they made
their home and raised their family.
For more than 46 years, he was employed at the former Orion Corporation in
Grafton. Over the years, he held various factory positions, including
machinist and inspector.
He was a member of the West Bend Barton Sportsman’s Club, the Kirchhayn
Cruisers Car Club, Kettle Moraine Sport Riders, Abate of Wisconsin and the
Kewaskum Historical Society.
Survivors include his wife Ruth; two children Michelle "Shelly"
(Sam) Russo of West Bend and Nathan "Nate" (Lisa) of
Campbellsport; four grandchildren Tanner and Griffin Russo and Kailey and
Ava Wornardt; one brother Trent (Patty) Naumann of West Bend; a cousin
Tommy Famularo; close lifelong friends Butchy, Joe, Mike and Terry Vrana;
other relatives and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, Dec. 10 at noon at
St. Mary's Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with burial following in
St. Mary’s Cemetery (new). The family will greet relatives and friends
at the church only on Saturday from 9 until 11:45 a.m.
