Martha L. Boynton, 59, of Jackson died on Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2011 at her home. She was born on May 30, 1952 in Monroe to the late Leonard and Helen (nee Fieldstad) Boynton.

After graduating from Monroe High School, she attended the University of Wisconsin-Platteville. She later went on to earn her master’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh.

For her entire career, Martha taught math and science with the Slinger School District.

Survivors include her brother John (Mary Ellen) of Shoreview, Minn.; one niece, Blair Boynton of Waterloo, Iowa; two aunts, Vivian (Hubert) Kepner of Lena, Iowa, and Joyce Fieldstad of Warren, Ill.; the Schmidt and Tolle families; other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Dec. 17 at 3 p.m. at the Schmidt Funeral Home in Jackson with Pastor Marcia Carrier officiating. Burial will be in the Jordan Lutheran Church Cemetery in South Wayne, Wis. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Saturday from 1 until 2:45 p.m.

The family has requested memorials to the American Diabetes Association or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
