Lucille M. Ernst, 84 Lucille M. Ernst (nee Staus) of Cedarburg passed away peacefully at  home on Wednesday Dec. 14, 2011, at the age of 84. Lucille was born on May 2, 1927, in Hartland to Walter and Anna (nee  Schlafer) Staus and married Elroy Ernst on Nov. 26, 1949, at St.  Paul’s United Church of Christ in Erin. Lucille was a long-time active member of Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church  in Freistadt. She was also active in many card clubs and domino  clubs.  She also enjoyed ceramics and needlepoint. She is survived by her husband, Elroy of Cedarburg; children, Wayne  of Cedarburg, Douglas (Karen) of Mequon, Susan (James) Grube of  Cedarburg, Sally (Ronald) O’Neill of Grafton and Laureen Ernst of  Cedarburg; grandchildren, Kelly (Kane) Jowers of Brookfield, Tracy  Ernst of West Bend, Heidi (friend Carlos) Ernst of West Allis, Ted  Grube of Cedarburg, Joe (Theresa) Grube of Cedarburg, Patrick Grube  of Madison, Jody Spitler of Port Washington, Katherine Spitler of  Cedarburg and Stacy Spitler of Port Washington; great-grandchildren,  Taylor and Luke Jowers, Hailee Ruiz and Riley Loper; brothers, Edward  and Howard Staus of Hartland; and a sister, Beatrice (Russ) Kulick of  Sussex. She is further survived by other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Wes. Funeral services were held on Saturday, Dec. 17, at 2 p.m. at Trinity  Ev. Lutheran Church Freistadt, 10729 W. Freistadt Road, Mequon.  Interment was in the church cemetery.  Visitation was held at the  church on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. Memorials to Trinity Ev.
