Robert ‘Bobby’ Kaul, 84 Robert "Bobby" Kaul of Grafton passed away peacefully on Friday, Dec. 16, 2011, at Horizon Hospice Columbia St. Mary’s Ozaukee Campus at the age of 84. Bob was born in Grafton on Feb. 26, 1927, to Arnold and Gertrude (nee Wulff) Kaul and married Laura (nee Viesselmann) on Oct. 22, 1949, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Cedarburg. His parents and wife preceded him in death. Bob owned and operated H & K Concrete Products Inc. in Grafton for 64 years. Bob was a longtime member of the Male Choir at St. Paul Lutheran Church. He also served as an elder for St. Paul Lutheran Church and served on many and various committees and was involved with the building of the current church. Bob was also a member of the Indian Hills Snowmobile Club. He enjoyed restoration of old cars, tractors and antique furniture. He was a member of the Antique Power Tractor Club. Bob, along with Eugene Hadler, high school friends, had a vision to start their own business back in 1948, thus the start of H & K Concrete Products. Sixty-four years later, the company is still in operation. He is survived by his children, Kathleen (Thomas) Grabow of Grafton, Susan (Kirby) Kaul-Shoaf of Grafton, James of Grafton and Jeffrey (Marlene Kasten) of Grafton; loving friend, Jane Peterson of Grafton; granddaughter, Melissa (Paul) Grabow-Danko of Arlington Heights, Ill.; brother, Arnold (Darlene) of Grafton; sisters, Eleanor Maul of Cedarburg, Ilma Kraatz of Thiensville and Marlene Kraemer of Grafton. He is further survived by other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Dec. 22, 2011, at 7 p.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 701 Washington St., Grafton. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church on Thursday from 4 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. Memorials to St. Paul Lutheran Church or your choice are appreciated.
