Alice M. Bishop (nee Gilhuber, formerly Young), 85, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2011 at her residence. She was born in Milwaukee on April 25, 1926 to the late Elmer and Winifred (nee Franzen).

When she lived in Sherwood, she enjoyed working at the Highcliff Historical Society. She loved her flower gardens and working on jigsaw puzzles.

She is survived by her children, Kathy Murray, Jerry (Linda) Young, Gail (Lee) Familetti, and Larry Young; grandchildren, Michelle (Brett) Bakner, Dawn Murray, Melissa (Charles Barbour) Emmons, and Sue Murray; great-grandchildren, Alexa and Hailey Barbour, Aspen and Brooke Bakner, Brice and Michael Murray; sisters, Joyce Adamczyk, and Ilene Patterson.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Russell Bishop; grandson, Jim Murray; and a brother, Gordon Gilhuber.

The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, Dec. 23, 2011 at 1 p.m. at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel (1420 W. Paradise Drive). The visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday, Dec. 23 from 11 a.m. until the time of service at 1 p.m. Private interment will take place at Pinelawn Cemetery.
