Angeline A. Reimer, 100
Angeline A. "Dolly" Reimer, nee
Herbst, 100, of Kewaskum, formerly of Barton, died on Monday, Dec. 19,
2011 at Kettle Moraine Gardens. She was born on March 9, 1911 in Barton to
the late John and Matilda (nee Kircher) Herbst.
Following her marriage to Paul J. Reimer on
April 24, 1929 at Holy Angels Church, the couple settled in the Barton
area. Paul predeceased June 11, 1983.
Over the years, Dolly worked different jobs, including at Amily Leather
Products, Frank’s Meat Market and also cared for the children of many
area families. Her close relationship with the families helped to have her
named "Grandma Dolly." She unofficially adopted many of the
children, and has maintained close ties throughout her long life.
She was a member of St. Mary Parish, the Catholic Order of Foresters and
the Good Samaritan Guild.
Survivors include a niece-in-law Marilyn Wagner of West Bend, a
great-nephew Tom (Laurie) Wagner of West Bend; special friends Debra (Syl)
Schoofs of Green Bay, Lee Roehrdanz of Tiger, Ore. and Joyce (Harry) Wyant
of Phelps; other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her son Richard in infancy and 10 brothers
and sisters: Antoinette (Louis) Wrasse, Agnes (Andrew) Pawlicki, Clarence,
Octavia, Frances (Herbert) Burkhart, Victor, Mildred (Edward) Wagner,
Leona (Harold) Wallenfelz, Stella (William) Kluge and Clarence "Boby"
(Violet).
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, Dec. 23 at 11 a.m. at St.
Mary’s Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with burial following in
St. Mary’s Cemetery (old). Visitation will be at the church only on
Friday from 10-10:45 a.m.
