Frances A. Walter (nee Ziegelbauer) , age 103, passed away Friday, Dec. 23, 2011, at Autumn Oaks in Slinger.

Frances was born Aug. 30, 1908, in Rubicon, to Jacob and Adeline (nee Zuern) Ziegelbauer.

Frances enjoyed gardening, and crocheting. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren, and will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed. She was a member of Christian Mothers and St. Lawrence Catholic Church.

Frances is survived by her children Diane (Norman) Beine and Wilbert (Catherine) Walter, all of Hartford; her grandchildren Jean (Paul) Seul, Carolyn (Al) Laufer, Alan (Anne) Beine, Patrick (Pam) Beine, Deborah (Stephen) Wright, Marlene (Jeff) Fabick, Ronald (Traci) Walter and Kristine (Wayne) Willingham; 24 great grandchildren; and her sister-in-law Margaret Ziegelbauer.

She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Frances was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Mathew in 1992, her brothers John (Marcella) and Eugene Ziegelbauer and her sister-inlaw Selma (William) Weninger.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, Dec. 29, 2011, at 6 p.m. at St. Lawrence Catholic Church with the Rev. Joseph Dominic officiating. The family will greet relatives and friends at the church on Thursday from 4 p.m. until the time of Mass at 6 p.m.

Interment will be at St. Lawrence Catholic Cemetery in St. Lawrence.
