Heinz Rieck, 87|
Heinz Rieck of Grafton passed away peacefully on Thursday, Dec. 22, 2011, at Ellenís Home in Port Washington at the age of 87.
Heinz was born on Nov. 14, 1924, in Germany to Otto and Elizabeth Rieck and married Marilyn (nee Foley) on Jan. 7, 1944, in Milwaukee.
Heinz was an Army veteran serving in World War II. He was a member of the Rose-Harms American Legion Post 355 in Grafton for 48 years. He established Heinz Auto Body in Grafton in 1963 and it is still in business today.
He is survived by his children, Paul (Linda) of Fort Myers, Fla., John of Port Washington, Thomas of Grafton, Ray (Kristin) of Cedarburg, James (Debra) of Grafton, Irene Rieck of Grafton, Shirley
(Rodney) Siech of Sheboygan, Linda (the late Marcus) Skelton, Larry
(Jane) of Grafton, Joanne (Hal) Landing of Grafton, Robert (Jean) of Grafton and Richard (Kelly) of Grafton; a brother, Walter Rieck of Menomonee Falls; and a sister, Elizabeth Oehm of Milwaukee. He is further survived by 25 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Otto and Elizabeth Rieck; his wife, Marilyn; and one son, Edward.
Funeral services were held on Monday Dec. 26, 2011, at 2 p.m. at Mueller Funeral Home & Crematory, 979 N. Green Bay Road, Grafton.
Interment was in Woodlawn Cemetery in Grafton. Visitation was held at the funeral home on Monday from 11 a.m. to 1:45 p.m.
